ZDK — Arnaud Leduc
Freelance creative developer — from drawing to code
A creative developer is someone who refuses to choose between designing and building. I draw, I model in 3D and I write the code — often on the same project, in the same week. That changes two concrete things for you. First, nothing is lost translating a mockup into an implementation: I design knowing what is buildable, and I build knowing what the design was reaching for. Second, there is nobody between you and the person doing the work. No account manager rephrasing your brief, no requirements drifting in transit, no approval chain. You ask, I explain, we adjust. I work in Next.js, TypeScript, Three.js and GSAP, and I handle all of it: art direction, animation, development, deployment. If you want a studio with a sales team, I'm not it. If you want someone who actually builds the thing they showed you, we'll get along.

One craft, several tools
I've never stuck to a single discipline. Depending on what the project needs, I draw, I model, or I write code — often all three.

Sites & interfaces
One-of-a-kind experiences
No template, no reskinned theme. I design and build the whole site — layout, pacing, animation, navigation — for that project and no other.

3D & real-time
Three dimensions in a browser
Three.js, WebGL, shaders. I model my own assets and integrate them — no back-and-forth between a 3D studio and a developer.

Drawing & art direction
It always starts with a pencil
Identity, illustration, typography. I search on paper before committing: a drawn idea can be judged in five minutes, and dropped without regret.

Training
Passing the tools on
I pass on what I actually practise: graphic design, 3D, code, generative AI. Teams or one to one, remote or on site, on your own tools and projects.

- Next.js

Work
Things I've made
Commissions, demos, and projects that started from plain curiosity.
Client work
Commissioned, with constraints, deadlines and usually a team.
Personal projects
Nobody asked for these. This is where I try what I can't do yet.
Experiments
Shorter things, built to understand a technique. They lead nowhere, and that's the point.
Portfolio 3D
A portfolio built entirely in Three.js — 3D navigation, custom shaders and mouse interaction.

Portal Scene
Three.js Journey exploration: animated textures, portal effects and real-time shader modifications.

Real-time liquid animation via WebGL, for a stylised brand landing page.

Media tracking and recommendation app — films, series, anime. Minimalist interface, enriched data.

(Not so) Abandoned House
A gem-hunting mini-game for the Three.js Journey Halloween challenge. My first genuinely big full-3D project, and a test of interaction between the player and the assets.
